Daily life: council services in your own language and the Mai library
The Comune's service guide is translated into ten languages, with intercultural mediators who call back in the caller's language. The Angelo Mai civic library is on Piazza Vecchia. Driving into Città Alta requires a permit or notifying the plate number.

Services in your mother tongue
For newcomers the Comune di Bergamo has translated its service guide into Arabic, Bangla, Chinese, English, French, Hindi, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish and Urdu, as part of the Bergamondo project funded by the national fund for migration policies. For each language an intercultural mediator sets up a phone appointment: send a written or voice message to the number given on the Comune's website.
Library and Città Alta
The Angelo Mai civic library is housed in the Palazzo Nuovo, on Piazza Vecchia. Anyone who needs to drive into Città Alta for an occasional transit notifies the plate number to the Comune; residents have dedicated permits and suppliers follow the delivery rules in force since August 2026.
