Nuovo Teatro Verdi

The Nuovo Teatro Verdi, at largo Gianni D'Errico 1, is run by the «Nuovo Teatro Verdi» Foundation, which programmes a season of opera, classical music, drama, contemporary theatre, popular music, comedies, musicals and dance, plus children's series and school projects. Designed in the 1960s with a steel structure, the theatre stands among the remains of Roman houses (domus): excavation uncovered a paved Roman street, visible through the glass floor of the foyer. Entry to the archaeological area is free.
