Identity: the city of Ceres between rock, castle and the Valverde quarter
The municipality points to the Rocca di Cerere, the Torre di Federico and the Castello di Lombardia as symbols, and to the Valverde quarter as "the origins of the city". Kore University recalls the myth of Kore linked to Enna and Lake Pergusa, and the provincial coat of arms with Ceres.

The fortifications
In its "Architettura militare e fortificata" section the municipality describes the Rocca di Cerere, a calcarenite peak almost isolated from the rest of the mountain, the Torre di Federico, perfectly octagonal, and the impregnable Castello di Lombardia, with a pentagonal plan and square towers.
The Valverde quarter and the churches
Among places of worship the municipality cites the church of San Cataldo, in piazza San Cataldo, with its catacombs, the church of San Biagio, that of San Francesco da Paola, the Duomo and the church of the Santissimo Salvatore. Of the Valverde quarter the portal writes that it represents "the origins of the city".
The myth of Kore
On the Kore University site the university's name is linked to the myth of Kore, tied to Enna and Lake Pergusa; the site also notes that the coat of arms of the Province of Enna shows Ceres. The municipal portal we consulted does not give the patron saint or the districts.
