  • Piazza del Duomo: a "closed square" with the cathedral of Maria Santissima Assunta, a 17th-century work by Giuseppe Zimbalo, the bell tower about 70 metres tall, the bishop's palace and the Seminary palace.
  • Piazza Sant'Oronzo, the city's centre, with the column of Sant'Oronzo, donated by the city of Brindisi, and the Palazzetto del Sedile; here the Roman amphitheatre emerges, excavated from 1900 and declared a national monument in 1906, of which about a third is visible. The nearby Roman theatre was found in 1928.
  • Basilica di Santa Croce, a showcase of Lecce baroque built between the 16th and 17th centuries.
  • Charles V's castle, rebuilt on a 12th-century fortress; it houses the Museo della Carta Pesta and cultural events.
  • Porta Napoli (1548), Porta Rudiae and Porta San Biagio.
