How assignment works
In Lombardy public housing (servizi abitativi pubblici) is assigned through calls for each territorial district, under regional regulation 4/2017. For the Lecco district the call is issued by the Municipality of Lecco as lead body: the 2026 call offered 54 homes available for immediate assignment, owned by ALER Bergamo-Lecco-Sondrio and by several municipalities, including Lecco. Applications are made online only, on the regional housing services platform, choosing up to two homes; a support service with computer stations and dedicated staff helps those who need it.
Main requirements
Under the 2026 call, applicants needed, on the application date, Italian or EU citizenship (or, for non-EU citizens, one of the eligible residence titles), residence or work in Lombardy, an ISEE up to 16,000 euros, compliance with asset limits and no suitable home within 40 kilometres. Households in poverty, with an ISEE up to 3,000 euros, are reserved 20% of the homes assigned in the year, with a support plan from the social services.
ALER Bergamo-Lecco-Sondrio
The Lombardy residential housing agency for the provinces of Bergamo, Lecco and Sondrio, with its legal seat in Bergamo, publishes on its website the archive of calls for the Lecco, Merate and Bellano districts, the rankings, the three-year plans and listings of homes for rent.
