The centre
Piazza della Vittoria, known as piazza Maggiore, has been the scenic centre of the city since the communal era and is today a meeting place. The cathedral is an imposing building of Romanesque layout and holds the relics of San Bassiano in its crypt; the Museo del Tesoro dell'Incoronata is another stop listed by the site.
Traditions and routes
Lodi maiolica is presented as a millennia-old tradition handed down from the Romans, and among the reasons to visit Lodi the site cites typical ceramics and cheeses. Among the routes is a cycling itinerary that touches the Muzza canal. The Comune points to visitlodi.it, which also has sections on famous people, historic buildings, Liberty villas and façades, accommodation, tourist offices and guides.
Information
The site is described as the official tourism site for Lodi and its province; the Province of Lodi (via T. Fanfulla 14, visitlodi@provincia.lodi.it) appears as the contact, and the Comune and the Chamber of Commerce as contributors. There is a dedicated Infopoint page on the site.
