The Walls host walks, concerts and sports events; summer brings the Lucca Summer Festival and autumn Lucca Comics & Games, for which the Comune publishes ordinances and rules for street vendors and parking.

Walls and gardens
The Walls are an elevated promenade where people walk and run and where concerts, exhibitions and sporting events are held. The Botanical Garden and the full events calendar are on the tourism portal (eventi.turismo.lucca.it).
Lucca Summer Festival
For the festival evenings the Comune sets up a "concert zone" with traffic and parking ordinances: residents in the zone are added automatically to the access list, while owners, people domiciled there, tenants, guests of accommodation and workers must email the form at least two days ahead; entry is on foot only, after the name is checked at the checkpoint.
Lucca Comics & Games
Autumn brings Lucca Comics & Games, for which the Comune publishes ordinances and measures, a notice for assigning stalls to food vendors outside the walls, and the criteria for private parking.
