Tourism: Arena Sferisterio, civic museums and the "MaMa – Marca Maceratese" destination
The tourist landmark is the Arena Sferisterio, home of the opera festival (box office at piazza Mazzini 10). The Comune promotes the "MaMa – Marca Maceratese" destination and runs guided visits, such as the free ones to the exhibition on St Francis on 31 October.

What to visit
The Arena Sferisterio hosts the Macerata Opera Festival: the site speaks of "the unique space of the Sferisterio" and gives the box office at piazza Mazzini 10. The Comune announces free guided visits to the exhibition on St Francis on 31 October (meeting point piazza San Vincenzo Maria Strambi, booking required) and talks at the Museo di Storia Naturale.
The destination
From 14 to 16 October 2026 the "MaMa – Le Marche che non ti aspetti" project was presented at the TTG tourism fair in Rimini to bring the new Marca Maceratese destination to market.
