Housing: municipal rent contribution with online applications
For 2026 the Comune di Massa published the call for the rent contribution (law 431/1998): Massa residents with a registered lease, ISE up to 32,724.49 euro and assets within the limits, with a yearly contribution of up to 3,100 euro in band A and 2,325 in band B. Who can apply
The 2026 call of the Comune di Massa's social services and social housing department, based on article 11 of law 431/1998 and on Regione Toscana resolutions, is aimed at people with registered residence in Massa in the rented home, under a registered residential lease. Italian and EU citizens and non-EU citizens with a valid residence permit can apply. Public housing units and those in cadastral categories A/1, A/8 and A/9 are excluded.
Bands and amounts
The household's ISE must not exceed 32,724.49 euro: in band A (ISE up to 16,114.80 euro) the contribution covers the part of the rent above 14% of the ISE, up to 3,100 euro a year; in band B (ISE between 16,114.81 and 32,724.49 euro) the part above 24%, up to 2,325 euro. Limits on movable assets (25,000 euro) and total assets (40,000 euro) also apply; the call recalls the 16,500-euro ISEE threshold set for access to public housing. The contribution is annual and paid in a single instalment after rent receipts are submitted.
How to apply
Applications are made online only, through the Comune's "Servizi on line" portal (Sportello sociale section), with SPID, CIE or CNS. For people who need help there is a help desk by appointment at via Porta Fabbrica 1 and some partner tax-assistance centres (CAF).
