Leisure: opera at the Regio, Parco Ducale, public fairs
Cultural life revolves around the Teatro Regio, with its winter opera season and the Festival Verdi in autumn. The Parco Ducale is the large historic garden; Parma's public fairs range from antiques to comics. Bikes, including shared ones, are the way to get around the centre.

Music
The Teatro Regio is the reference point for opera: a winter season and the Festival Verdi with Verdi operas scheduled between September and October. The official tourism site suggests an evening at the Regio during the winter opera season.
Green space and bikes
The Parco Ducale, with centuries-old trees and sculpture groups, is the city's historic green space. To move between the centre, the park and the neighbourhoods inside the boulevards there is Ridemovi bike sharing, with pedal and electric bikes.
- Mercanteinfiera: antiques, vintage and collectibles, in spring and autumn, with more than a thousand exhibitors; alongside it Art Parma Fair for modern and contemporary art.
- Parma Comics & Games: comics, video games, board games and cosplay.
- Automotoretrò for vintage cars and motorcycles, the Salone del Camper, BBQ Expo, EOS – European Outdoor Show for hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.
