Leisure: Teatro Municipale, Politeama, the half marathon and Piacenza's table
The Teatro Municipale on via Verdi, called a "miniature La Scala", has a season of opera, concerts and dance; the Politeama has its own season from October to May. The Placentia Half Marathon reached its 29th edition in 2026; local food is based on PDO cured meats, Gutturnio wine and tortelli con la coda.

Theatre and culture
The Teatro Municipale, at via Verdi 41, is described by the tourism site as a "miniature La Scala"; the 2026/27 season includes opera, concerts, dance, a Young section, festivals and events, as well as performances for schools. The Teatro Politeama has its own season from 16 October 2026 to 9 May 2027. The municipal tourism site lists a programme of guided tours from 13 September to 31 December 2026.
- Placentia Half Marathon: the city half marathon, which reached its twenty-ninth edition on 10 May 2026.
- Food: coppa, salame and pancetta, Gutturnio among the red wines, tortelli con la coda.
- Day trips to Grazzano Visconti, Castell'Arquato and Bobbio.
