Daily life: ID card by appointment, municipal offices and Ecoambiente waste collection
In Rovigo the electronic identity card is requested by appointment only, booked on the Interior Ministry portal. The public relations office (URP) is in the former Olivetan Monastery on piazzale San Bartolomeo. Waste is handled by Ecoambiente, with door-to-door collection using an eco-card, pay-as-you-throw charging and the recycling centre at viale delle Industrie 21.

Identity card
Since 1 June 2018 the CIE has been issued by appointment only, booked on the Interior Ministry website (prenotazionicie.interno.gov.it) after a one-off registration; you choose the Comune where you are resident or living, and the receipt, printed or saved on your phone, is shown at the registry office counters. Paper ID cards that are still valid remain so until they expire.
Where the offices are
The town hall is at piazza Vittorio Emanuele II 1. The public relations office (URP) and the office for hiring civic halls are at piazzale San Bartolomeo 18, in the former Olivetan Monastery; the tax office is at piazza Beato Giovanni Palatucci 10, in the former Ospedale Maddalena; the local police, education and social services are at viale Marconi 2. The Comune's portal lets you book an appointment and report a problem.
Waste
Collection is run by Ecoambiente s.r.l., based at viale delle Industrie 53/A. The operator's website describes, for Rovigo, door-to-door collection with an eco-card, smart bins and pay-as-you-throw charging, with a simulator for household charges, and publishes the collection calendars. The recycling centre at viale delle Industrie 21 is open Monday to Saturday from 7.30 to 17.00; paperwork and requests can also go through the online counter.
