ASL and district
Community care is run by ASL no. 1 of Sassari, the local health and social care authority based at via Enrico Costa 57 (switchboard 07920610000). The city belongs to the "Sassari, Anglona, Romangia e Nurra Nord Occidentale" district, the largest of the authority's three districts (the others are Alghero–Coros–Villanova Meilogu and Ozieri–Monteacuto–Goceano). The ASL runs family counselling centres, mental health centres, addiction services and civil disability procedures.
AOU and emergency department
The city hospital is the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria of Sassari, with its management at viale San Pietro 10: it has a general emergency department and an obstetric-gynaecological emergency department with short intensive observation, and its nephrology unit provides the apheresis service around the clock for central-northern Sardinia.
GP and bookings
You choose or revoke your GP and paediatrician with the "Scelta e revoca del medico" online service on the ASL website, using a digital identity. Visits and tests are booked through the CUP (regional number 1533) and the authority's online services.
