Cost of living: regional school pass, online local taxes, social rents
For the 2026/27 school year the Region offers Umbrian students with ISEE below the threshold a discounted annual pass, also valid on regional trains, to be requested by 31 December 2026, including at the Trenitalia ticket office in Terni. Transport for students
The Umbria Region has extended the Umbria Vai scheme to Trenitalia regional trains: students resident in Umbria enrolled in secondary schools or vocational education and training, with an ordinary ISEE below the threshold set by the Region, can get a discounted annual pass with unlimited travel until 30 June 2027 on the home-school route, including the former Ferrovia Centrale Umbra lines and replacement buses. Applications are accepted from 2 October to 31 December 2026 at Trenitalia ticket offices, including the one in Terni.

The Comune's Sportello Unico delle Entrate is a single online access point, with SPID or CIE, to check one's tax position, see payments and deadlines, pay and submit requests; the service is free.
