Daily life: residence within 20 days, ZTL permits

Residence

Newcomers from another Italian municipality or from abroad declare residence within 20 days of the actual move, using one channel only: online on the ANPR portal with CIE, SPID or CNS (not through a delegate); by email to anagrafe@comune.vicenza.it or by certified email (PEC) with the signed form and scanned documents; by registered post; or in person, by appointment booked online only, at the Registry Office (Ufficio Anagrafe) at piazza delle Biade 26. Proof of the right to live in the dwelling must be attached (lease, handover record of a public flat, or the owner's consent with a copy of their ID): without it the declaration is inadmissible.

Certificates and an identity card can be obtained within two working days of registration; checks are carried out within 45 days, after which, with no other communication, the registration stands by tacit consent. Your name must be on the doorbell and mailbox. The service is free.

ZTL permits

Residents of the historic centre can apply for the resident permit (pink), which allows access to the ZTL and pedestrian area at any hour to reach a garage or parking space and for short stops to load, unload or drop off passengers, through the gates listed on the permit. It is valid until the periodic check: the first, by self-declaration of the holder, takes place in the fifth year after issue, between 1 March and 15 April. The application, with the documents the form requires and two revenue stamps, is made by online appointment at the ZTL desk on the ground floor of Palazzo degli Uffici, piazza Biade 26.
