Where and in which language

Bologna is Italy's university city par excellence: tens of thousands of out-of-town students, nightlife in the university quarter (via Zamboni) and the tightest rental market in the Centre-North after Milan. UNIMORE is tied to the Motor Valley (vehicle engineering courses with the car makers), Parma to agri-food, while Ferrara has low living costs and a cycle-friendly city. Bologna and Parma offer many English-taught degrees.

Grants and halls

Student support is managed by ER.GO (Regional Agency for the Right to Higher Education), the single body for all universities and AFAM institutes in the region: annual call for grants, beds in the halls of Bologna, Modena, Reggio, Parma, Ferrara and the Romagna campuses, catering services and contributions, with online application and the university ISEE. ER.GO also manages housing for doctoral students and visiting researchers.
