Where and in which language
Padua is one of Italy's major university cities and offers dozens of English-taught degrees; Ca' Foscari is known for languages and Asian studies and for English-taught courses in economics and management. Island Venice is expensive with little housing: many students live in Mestre or Padua and commute by train. Verona has a medium-sized university with lower living costs.
Grants and halls
Student support is entrusted to three regional agencies, the ESU of Padua, Venice and Verona: each publishes the annual call for grants, beds in halls, canteens and contributions, with online application and the university ISEE. IUAV and Ca' Foscari students refer to ESU Venezia; Padua students (including the branch campuses) to ESU Padova.
