Identity: the Quintana, majolica and wrought iron, the antiques market

The Quintana

The Comune's page links to the official site and Facebook page of the Quintana of Ascoli Piceno and collects the maps of the sestieri. Responsibility lies with the Comune's "Servizio Eventi, Cultura, Turismo, Quintana e Teatri" (events, culture, tourism, Quintana and theatres service).

Crafts

Among the "Vivere Ascoli Piceno" pages the Comune covers two craft traditions: Ascoli majolica (history, the Paci majolica makers, the ceramists) and wrought iron, with entries on works visible in town such as the rosta in corso Mazzini and the passetto Ambrogio Squintani.

Antiques Market

The market is held in the historic centre across piazza del Popolo, piazza Arringo, piazza Roma, via del Trivio, the cloister of San Francesco, via d'Ancaria and the Loggia dei Mercanti. Normally it runs on the third Sunday of each month, opening at 10:00 on the preceding Saturday and closing at 20:00 on Sunday; it is suspended in July and August.
