  • Santa Sofia and the UNESCO site: Benevento is one of the seven places of the site "The Longobards in Italy. Places of Power (568-774 A.D.)", inscribed in 2011; the Chamber of Commerce calls the Santa Sofia monumental complex a strategic element for tourism.
  • Museo del Sannio (piazza Santa Sofia): the first three sections are in the cloister, the Art section in the tower of the Rocca dei Rettori; the museum highlights as its core the sacred furnishings of the Temple of Isis, described as the largest group of Egyptian sculptures ever found outside Egypt. The Artecard circuit lists it as open Tuesday to Sunday.
  • Arch of Trajan (via del Pomerio / via Port'Aurea): a Roman monument restored in 2002, with Trajan's deeds in the provinces on the side facing the countryside and scenes of peace on the side facing the city; open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:30, closed on Mondays, no booking needed. In the nearby church of Sant'Ilario the Museo dell'Arco tells Trajan's life through a multimedia exhibit.
