Leisure: festivalfilosofia and the Teatro Pavarotti-Freni

Philosophy in the square

festivalfilosofia "changes the face" of Modena, Carpi and Sassuolo for three days, with lectures by Italian and international scholars in open, shared spaces; each edition is built around a keyword. It is organised by the Consorzio per il festivalfilosofia, based at Largo Porta Sant'Agostino 337 in Modena.

Theatre, square, music

The Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni, opened in 1841, is the city's theatre. On Saturdays in August the Ghirlandina stays open until 23:00. The Pavarotti House Museum, in the Modena countryside, is open every day except a few holidays.
