Public housing

In Calabria public housing (ERP) is managed by ATERP Calabria, the regional territorial company for public housing, set up by Regional Law 24/2013 by merging the provincial ATERPs. It has a Reggio Calabria district and its registered office at the Cittadella regionale in Germaneto, Catanzaro; its website publishes the calls for the allocation of ERP dwellings and of non-ERP property.

Students

The Università Mediterranea runs two residences: via Manfroce (traversa III, De Nava district), with 98 places in the 2026/27 call including renewals, and via Roma, with 42 places in single and double rooms with private bathroom for out-of-town students enrolled in 2026/27. Places are applied for through the right-to-study call on the university's DSU portal. Residents pay a monthly contribution based on income band and room type. Eligible out-of-town students left without a grant and a place can apply for the housing allowance; those who do not get a place keep out-of-town status with a registered lease of at least ten months in Reggio Calabria.
