Daily life: residence via ANPR, waste with Iren, the Panizzi library
A change of residence in Reggio Emilia is declared online on the ANPR portal or with the ministry form. Waste collection, door-to-door, is run by Iren Ambiente. The Panizzi library, the main public library, is in Palazzo San Giorgio, via Farini 3.

Residence
People already on the national register who move to Reggio Emilia from another municipality, change address within the city or return from abroad as Italian citizens registered with AIRE can declare the move online with the "Change of residence" service on the ANPR portal, using their digital identity. Otherwise you fill in the ministry form, giving the full address (street number, flat, staircase) and the title under which you occupy the home. Any adult member of the household can submit it, but all adults must sign.
Waste
In Reggio Emilia waste collection is run by Iren Ambiente; the Comune gathers on one page the information on door-to-door separate collection, asbestos, the TARI waste tax and regulations.
Library
The Panizzi library, at via Farini 3, is the city's main public library: founded in 1798 as the Libreria Nazionale, it has been housed since 1864 in Palazzo San Giorgio, in the centre, and is named after Antonio Panizzi, who directed the British Museum library. Periodicals room, study desks without booking and spaces for children and teenagers; the city also has branch libraries.
