Cost of living: tiered municipal IRPEF surcharge, exemption up to 11,999.99 euro
For 2025 the Finance Department lists a tiered municipal IRPEF surcharge for Siena, from 0.735% up to 15,000 euro to 0.80% above 50,000, with an exemption for taxable income up to 11,999.99 euro. Rents, prices per square metre and the transit pass are in the data.

Municipal IRPEF surcharge
For 2025 the Finance Department lists for Siena: 0.735% up to 15,000 euro, 0.78% from 15,000.01 to 28,000, 0.79% from 28,000.01 to 50,000 and 0.80% above 50,000 euro, with an exemption for taxable income up to 11,999.99 euro. The entry cites resolution no. 66 of 26 May 2022, published on 20 December 2025 with a confirmation note, and flags that the rate was not sent by the Comune but entered by the department itself: check the municipal resolution for the exact figure.
Waste, parking and transit
On 23 July 2026 the city council approved three acts on the 2026 TARI; the Comune's page does not list the tariffs. On parking, the Comune publishes resident spaces among its parking news: for instance Sigerico spa accepted the Comune's request to add some in the Il Duomo and Il Campo car parks from 12 to 17 August. The Giunta also confirmed for 2026/2027 the reduced public transport fares for university students.
