The Istituto Autonomo Case Popolari (IACP, public housing institute) of the Province of Siracusa is based at via Augusto Von Platen 37. For tenants it publishes the tenancy rules and forms for transfers to another dwelling, sale of dwellings, maintenance requests and self-managed condominiums; payments go through PagoPA. Living in Ortigia

The parking and transit permit is available, among others, to residents and tenants domiciled there with a lease (category 1R), to owners of property in Ortigia who live in Siracusa (PI) and to non-residents who have a parking space in Ortigia (1NR): anyone looking for a home on the island should take this into account, along with the rules for vehicles of firms with building sites on the island.
