Identity: nine Consigli di Quartiere Partecipati

Udine is organised in nine Consigli di Quartiere Partecipati (participatory neighbourhood councils), from "Udine centro" to "Godia – Beivars". The municipality presents them as a way to put forward proposals and projects for developing services and the social fabric; participation runs through associations enrolled in a register.

How they work

The municipality states the councils' aim as favouring citizens' democratic participation in municipal activity by formulating proposals and projects for developing services and the social fabric. Each council has an ordinary meeting place (for example Council 1 meets at the Civil Protection office in via Teobaldo Ciconi, Council 4 at via Pradamano 21). The regulation was approved by the City Council on 5 February 2024 and amended on 21 July 2025.

Who can take part

The municipal page invites associations to take part by enrolling in the register through an online service; an interactive map shows which neighbourhood an address belongs to. Requirements for individual residents are not stated on the page: check the regulation.
