According to the Piemonte Orientale Chamber of Commerce, in the second quarter of 2026 the province of Vercelli recorded "a slight increase": 191 registrations and 139 closures (net of 63 ex officio cancellations), a balance of +52 and a growth rate of +0.35%, for a stock of 14,658 firms at 30 June 2026. Commerce is the only declining sector (-0.22%); manufacturing and tourism are flat (0.00%); agriculture (+0.40%), construction (+0.63%) and other services (+0.89%) grow. Capital companies rise by 0.96%.
Local employers
Among employers with official sites consulted are the University of Eastern Piedmont, with its rectorate in Vercelli, and ASL VC, with the Sant'Andrea hospital. I found no official page on the employment centre (Centro per l'impiego).
