ULSS 8 Berica, East District

Care is run by the ULSS 8 Berica health authority, split into two districts: Vicenza belongs to the East District together with the surrounding municipalities (Caldogno, Creazzo, Dueville and Torri di Quartesolo among others), while the West District covers the Chiampo and Agno valleys with Arzignano and Valdagno.

San Bortolo and the hospital network

The network counts six public hospitals with, on average, 1,251 beds; four provide urgent and emergency care around the clock through their emergency departments, starting with the San Bortolo hospital of Vicenza at viale Ferdinando Rodolfi 37, the network's main hospital and the only one in the city. It is reached with SVT bus lines 2, 3, 4, 9, 11 and 30 (Cricoli park-and-ride with line 30).

Bookings

In the city the CUP and payment desks are at the Vicenza hospital (viale Rodolfi 37) and at the Santa Lucia outpatient centre (Contrà Mure Porta Santa Lucia 34); for the East District you can also book on the toll-free number 800 403960 from a landline.

Out-of-hours doctor

The out-of-hours service (ex guardia medica) covers nights from 20:00 to 8:00, Saturdays and pre-holidays from 8:00 to 20:00 and holidays from 8:00 to 20:00: access is only by calling the European number 116117, from landline or mobile, without going directly to the clinic.

Opening hours, locations and access rules change: check the ULSS 8 Berica website (aulss8.veneto.it) before acting.
