Metro
Brera has no station of its own but five around it: Lanza (M2) on Foro Buonaparte, Montenapoleone (M3) on via Manzoni, Moscova (M2) to the north, Turati (M3) to the east and Cairoli (M1) on piazza Castello. From any point in the quarter a metro is a few minutes' walk. Duomo is one stop from Montenapoleone on M3 and two from Cairoli on M1 (via Cordusio), or a quarter of an hour on foot; Centrale is direct on M3 from Montenapoleone or Turati; Garibaldi on M2 from Lanza or Moscova.
Trams and bikes
Trams 2, 4, 12 and 14 stop at Lanza M2; tram 1 runs along via Manzoni and piazza Cavour. The quarter has BikeMi stations (ATM's bike sharing, including e-bikes) and many pedestrian streets but very few protected cycle lanes: cycling means riding in the slow traffic of the ZTL streets.
Airports
Malpensa: Malpensa Express from Cadorna (M1/M2, reached from Cairoli or on foot from Foro Buonaparte) or from Centrale/Garibaldi. Linate: M3 to Duomo, then M1 to San Babila and M4 to the terminal; otherwise taxi. Orio al Serio: coaches from Centrale station.
