Shopping and markets
The old village keeps local shops on via Conte Rosso, via Saccardo and piazza Rimembranze (bakeries, grocers, historic cafés); chain supermarkets around the station, on via Rombon and in Rubattino, which also has a large shopping centre. The nearest weekly street markets of Municipio 3, with streets, days and hours, are in the official Comune list cited. During the Fuorisalone in April via Ventura and its surroundings become an exhibition district with free events.
Green space and libraries
Parco Lambro, among the largest in Milan, begins north of the quarter along the river: historic farmhouses, meadows, long avenues, playgrounds and sports fields; it is reached on foot from via Feltre or from M2 Udine. In Rubattino, the Parco della Lambretta, built with the new district. The municipal library is Lambrate (via Valvassori Peroni 56), in the same block as Municipio 3's Casa di Quartiere Valvassori Peroni, a civic space with courses and activities.
Health, schools, services
Health: ATS Città Metropolitana di Milano for GP registration and local services; there are no hospitals in the quarter, the nearest being the specialist institutes of Città Studi (Tumori, Besta) and, for general emergencies, the Policlinico or the Fatebenefratelli in the centre. Schools: state nursery, primary and middle schools in the quarter and in Rubattino, secondary schools in Municipio 3; catchment enrolment on the Comune website. Municipio 3's offices and registry services are on via Sansovino, in Città Studi.
