The city falls under ASL Avellino (offices at via degli Imbimbo 10/12), which has six districts including the Avellino Health District (DS 04). Who covers the city

ASL Avellino is based at via degli Imbimbo 10/12 (switchboard 0825 291111) and organises care in six districts: Ariano Irpino (DS 01), Monteforte Irpino (DS 02), Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi (DS 03), Avellino (DS 04), Atripalda (DS 05) and Baiano (DS 06).

Hospitals and emergency room

The two hospitals run by the ASL are the "Sant'Ottone Frangipane" in Ariano Irpino (via V. Emanuele) and the "Criscuoli – Frieri" in Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi (via Quadrivio). For hospitals in the city, see the ASL website and that of the competent hospital trust. The ASL's emergency-room page explains that it is for emergencies and urgent cases and that triage codes (red, yellow, green, white) set the order of access.

Family doctor

To choose or revoke a GP or paediatrician you can go to your district or use, with digital identity, the dedicated Campania Region service linked from the ASL home page.

Out-of-hours doctor

The continuity-of-care (former guardia medica) sites are listed by the ASL by district, including the Avellino Health District (DS 04).

Opening hours, locations, numbers and rules change: check the ASL Avellino website before acting.
