Transport: TEP buses, gated ZTL, bike sharing, airport

TEP buses

TEP runs the urban and suburban services. The urban network has lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 21 and 23, with extra runs on some lines; in the evening and at night lines 102, 103, 105, 107, 108, 109, 111 and 121 operate. The railway station is served by several lines and TEP publishes a map of its stops there. New tickets carry a QR code that is scanned at the green validators; they are sold at TEP ticket offices and authorised retailers, or by smartphone or on board by credit card. New passes are signed for at TEP counters by appointment.

ZTL and parking

Infomobility, a company directed and coordinated by the Comune di Parma, manages permits, parking, gates and sharing services. The ZTL can only be entered with authorisation: the gates on viale Toscanini, viale Mariotti and piazzale Salvo D'Acquisto are active every day from 7:30 to 19:30, the one on via XXII Luglio from 7:30 to 11:30 and from 16:00 to 19:00, the Tommasini-Sauro environmental island 24 hours a day; eight bus lanes are camera-controlled. Mopeds and motorcycles may enter the ZTL but not the environmental and pedestrian islands.

Bikes and airport

Bike sharing, coordinated by Infomobility, is run by Ridemovi with pedal bikes, pedal-assist e-bikes and e-scooters, all from the same app (age 16 and over). In the historic centre bikes must be left in the marked parking areas; elsewhere inside the boulevards free-floating parking is allowed as long as the vehicle does not obstruct traffic or pedestrians.

Parma International Airport, run by SO.GE.A.P., has a limited offer: in the week of 13–18 October 2026 scheduled flights connected Cagliari, London, Palermo, Reggio Calabria and Tirana (Ryanair) and Chișinău (FlyOne).
