Air quality and winter measures
For the 2025/26 season mayoral ordinance no. 36 of 30 September 2025 applied across the whole municipality from 1 October to 30 April, with three levels: green (no alert), orange after at least four consecutive days of measured or forecast exceedance of the daily PM10 limit, red after at least ten. Levels follow the ARPAV bulletins issued on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and apply from the following day; returning to green takes two consecutive days within the limit.
The ordinance sets hours and maximum temperatures for heating buildings, lowered further during alerts for some categories; it bans wood, chip or pellet heaters rated below three stars where another system exists (below four stars during alerts) and prohibits open-air burning of plant residues all year. Roasted chestnuts and restaurant barbecues, traditional bonfires and fireworks are allowed only at green level. The measures are renewed every autumn with a new ordinance.
